Ronan Thompson

At just 24 years old, I bring a passionate and highly professional approach to sports psychology and mental coaching. A proud alumnus of St. David’s Marist Inanda, graduating in 2018, I have dedicated my academic journey to understanding the complexities of the human mind through extensive study and practical experience.

With both an undergraduate and an honours degree in Psychology, along with specialised certifications in counselling techniques and sports psychology, I possess a comprehensive foundation rooted in evidence-based practices. My certifications in sports psychology and mental coaching reflect a deep commitment
to helping athletes unlock their full potential and overcome mental barriers.

Beyond academic achievements, I currently volunteer at the South African Depression and Anxiety Group, gaining invaluable experience in empathetic listening, crisis intervention, and working with individuals from diverse backgrounds. This hands-on experience has sharpened my counselling skills and reinforced dedication to supporting others through personalised, impactful mental health strategies.

Driven by a genuine passion for sports psychology and a keen interest in the power of the mind, I combine professionalism with a motivational approach. I also understand the unique psychological challenges faced by athletes at all levels, and am committed to guiding clients toward mental resilience, confidence, and peak performance, regardless of age or experience.
